The internet, with its search engines and social media, can be a useful tool in locating people. But not if they don’t want to be located.  At times, there is no substitute for hitting the street and knocking on doors.  By talking to friends and neighbors of the persons you are trying to locate.  I use a combination of tools, but in the end, skip tracing is an art requiring good people skills.  Especially with people who don’t want to be found.

I have extensive experience establishing rapport with a witness in order to obtain a useful statement, while at the same time, I am trained to look for signs of deception by the witness.  I also understand the need for discretion while conducting background research on the witness.

As a former police officer, I know how difficult it is for police officers to investigate the physical evidence of an accident, while at the same time obtaining good witness interviews.  Such cases frequently involve locating witnesses long after the accident and establishing rapport in order to gather important details.  As an experienced photographer, I know the value of good photographs of the scene.
